PEDALITALY Lombardy Summer Race takes you to pedal in Valtellina, an enchanting territory and a favorite place for many professional cyclists who choose the cool valleys for their preparation in view of the most important races.
On June 30th, you too can TAKE PART FOR FREE in PEDALITALY Lombardy Summer Race, you can choose the time you prefer among the three time zones provided.
The departure will be in Sondalo in the locality of Le Prese, in the province of Sondrio. The route goes up the Valtellina valley in a succession of ups and downs that run along the Adda river up to Bormio.
The route will then turn in the locality of Santa Lucia and go up towards Le Motte before descending back to Pradelle, a hamlet of Valdidentro. Then the last 10 km long climb with 600 meters of elevation gain begins.
The panorama opens onto the spectacular natural scenery of the Alta Valtellina and the road climbs up to the historic Towers of Fraele, the highest point of the race.
The finish line is located a few meters ahead, at the beginning of the Cancano lakes, the arrival destination of a decisive stage of the 2020 Giro d’Italia.
