Let us set off together through the hills covered with vineyards, immerse yourself in history, discover the traditions, taste the world-famous food and wine excellence, admire and experience the beauty of the Alpine peaks.
We will leave together from the Langhe, a reference point for Italian wines and UNESCO World Heritage Site, to reach Sestriere, a famous ski resort at high altitude and home to many international sporting events.





Bike Tour Itinerary
Welcome to Piedmont, welcome to Le Langhe. Our journey will commence by a meeting with the Pedalitaly team and a quick bike fit session before hitting the road exploring this unique area, cycling through the Langhe and Roero’s vineyards, a territory where the Arneis grapes are produced together with the famous Nebbiolo and Barbera ones. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of this land as you cycle through little hamlets full of history and charm such as Montaldo Roero and Corneliano d’Alba. Once back at the hotel we will celebrate the first day with a delicious dinner.

We will spend the day riding through the Langhe’s hills, visiting the villages of Morra, Diano d’Alba, Monforte and Barolo where we will get to know the secrets of one of the most renowned wines in the world. The scenery we will encounter as we cycle along is typical of this area that are framed by gentle hills covered by hazelnut trees and vineyards and framed by the Alps in the background. At the end of the day we will have the chance to enjoy an unique enogastronomic experience tasting local and traditional products.

We will start the day with a short transfer heading towards the Alps. Our entrance into this majestic landscape will be the Susa valley from where we will be riding along secondary roads which are part of the famous Francigena pilgrims’ path. For centuries this path has been used to cross the Alps southward heading to Rome, heart of Christianity, or the opposite way heading to Santiago de Compostela. Nowadays this route represents a great way to explore the culture and the nature of this area through arts, food and craftsmanship.

Today we will start our ride from the Sestriere pass riding along the path which is a part of the Granfondo. It’s a great way to get familiar with the downhill leading to the Susa valley. After Bardonecchia we will tackle the climb to Colle della Scala from where we will enter France. The majestic alpine scenery will surround us the whole day while we ride through forest, alpine grazing land and small villages. This is the area that hosted the 2006 winter olympics and some of the most spectacular stages of Giro d’Italia history.

Today will be dedicated to relaxing and giving our legs a rest before the big day. If you like, you can go for a gentle hike to explore the mountains which surround Sestriere or just relax at the hotel getting ready for the big day to come.

The big day is finally here! The Granfondo Sestriere event awaits us with its routes brimming full of history which made cycling epic in the golden era and in modern times. Challenge yourself on the Colle delle Finestre gravel switchbacks and ride on one of the most spectacular Granfondo events of the season. Two different routes are available, both challenging in terms of elevation but breathtaking when it comes to the scenery. Our team will back you up along the route adding any extra extra support beside the great one offered by the organizers of the event. At the end of the day we will gather all together to celebrate this great week with a final toast.

This morning we will surely reminisce over breakfast, about our cycling exploits of the past week – and revel in our new friendships built by true cycling camaraderie and love of this amazing sport. After breakfast, our guides will transfer you to the Caselle Turin Airport (about a 1h20minute drive) to continue to your next destination.
